Intouch with Health Highly Commended at the HSJ Partnership Awards

Intouch with Health has been Highly Commended for its contribution toward the Dorset Health Village project

We are delighted to announce that Intouch with Health has been Highly Commended in the Best Elective Care Recovery Initiative category at the HSJ Partnership Awards 2023 alongside University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust, recognising our outstanding dedication to improving healthcare and effective collaboration with the NHS.

Winners and those highly commended in a total of 21 categories were announced during a ceremony at Evolution London, on 23 March 2023, hosted by comedian Joel Dommett. The event was attended by over 900 guests, bringing together national healthcare leaders and professionals from both the NHS and private sector as well as figures from non-clinical backgrounds to celebrate the crucial contributions of the private and third sector within the NHS. The evening celebrated the achievements of a total of 141 finalists.

About the Project: The Dorset Health Village

In April 2021, facing a backlog of more than 110,000 pandemic-delayed outpatient appointments, UHD began a ground-breaking project to open a remote outpatient assessment clinic in a department store. As part of the trust’s innovative and ambitious ‘ThinkBIG’ initiative to help them tackle their backlog of outpatient appointments, clinically-led plans were drawn up to transform what was an empty shop floor into 1,600 square metres of partitioned clinical space, taking the trust’s services into the heart of the community. The Dorset Health Village opened on 20 December 2021, with 98% of patients that have attended the facility rating the experience as ‘good’ or ‘very good’.
