HTN 2023 Award Wins for VitalHub UK

Intouch with Health and MCAP win at the HTN awards

We are delighted to announce a very successful evening at the HTN Awards 2023 for VitalHub UK, with two of our solutions winning first place and one solution being highly commended in their respective categories.

In partnership with University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust, Intouch with Health has won the ‘Excellence in Innovation and Change Award’. The award recognises the Dorset Health Village Project, which realised an innovative and ambitious vision to transform the top floor of a department store into an outpatient clinic – contributing to the Trusts efforts to tackle a backlog of more than 110,000 pandemic-delayed appointments.

The project has received widespread endorsements; Sajid Javid, former Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, and Amanda Pritchard, NHS England Chief Executive, both recognising the value of the project as a model to get testing for illness back to pre-pandemic levels by 2025.

Winning the ‘Best Evidence-Based Tech’ Award, MCAP was recognised for their Clinical Decision-Support Solution and Discharge Audits. MCAP’s system is identifying more opportunities to reduce patients’ length of stay and supporting Discharge to Assess Models so that hospitals can tackle Patient Flow Blockages, Delayed Transfers of Care and Stranded Patients.

MCAP’s solution includes a clinically based set of criteria combined with a data-gathering and reporting system for use in medical-surgical and mental health care settings. It is used to assign patients, for admission or continued stay, at the most appropriate level of care. The MCAP solution typically identifies twice the number of patients that can move to alternative pathways than previous Medically Fit For Discharge (MFFD) processes, combating patient deconditioning and blockages in bed availability.

Synopsis was Highly Commended in the Supporting NetZero Using Digital Category, a recognition of Synopsis’ contribution to NHS emissions targets.

Two years ago, the NHS set two key targets: reach net zero by 2040 for direct emissions; and net zero by 2045 for #emissions along the value chain, including goods and services bought from partners or suppliers.
